This is a view of the drivers side where the Battery, Voltage Regulator, Starter Solinoid, and Ignition coil are normally located from the factory. This area is a problem area in restoring ANY car. The problem is rust and corrosion from the Battery Acid (car cancer) start eating away at the sheet metal and, depending on the climate where that car is normally located, can even rust through. I was very lucky, my stang is an original Denver CO. car and seen all but 3 years of its life in Denver. Because of the lack of humidity and the fact that the previous owner didnt drive it in the winter (Stangs just arent made for snow)there was only some surface rust wich was easily inhibited and clead up using a rust inhibitor.
