This is a Passenger Side View of my 20th Anniversary Mustang just before I started
the restoration. Notice the SVO hood scoop, 15-inch
Wheels, SVO quarter trim panels and headlamp louvers,
These are nice additions, but are NOT correct parts for the anniversary
Musatng.
(Late 1994)
Here is a closeup photo of the SVO quarter trim panels, these look VERY nice
on any 1979 thru 1986 Mustang, but are not original or correct for the
20th Anniversary Musatng. I will probably leave these in place scince they
do look better than the stock panels. Stock panels
are "a dime a dozen" in the Junkyards so a original replacement
would be very easy to find.
(August 1996)
Here is a closeup photo of the GT350 Stripe on
the passenger side door. Notice the incorrect "R" in the striping,
this was added by a previous owner, there were never any 20th Anniversary
Mustangs with these "R 's " added. One of the problems I have
with the striping on my car is the "peeling" , the stripes are
tearing and peeling and coming off. I plan to re-paint the entire car and
install NOS striping, hopfully the car will be
painted and striped by Summer 1998.
(August 1996)
Here is a closep of one of the incorrect side body mouldings.
These were installed by a previous owner, I am not sure why these were
installed, but they are definatly UGLY and have been removed. I have
aquired 2 NOS pieces so far. I also have finally found the other 4 pieces
I needed. They are used but in good shape.
(August 1996)
Here is the passenger side door jamb sticker (located just above the door latch
bolt). Not much can be done to restore these or get out the "bubbles".
The best thing to do is replace it. I am not sure if these are still available
from ford, but there are some good aftermarket copies
available.
(August 1996)
Here is one of the side Marker Lights, these are usually either broken or really sun faded.
I Replaced both sides with Brand new units which are still available from ford.
