TFI Specifications & Performance Tips
The Official 20th Anniversary Mustang Website & Registry
There are 2 different type of TFI modules,
both of which will fit and work on most all Mustangs.

Here is the basic information on both:

1. E3EF-12A297-A1A
This TFI Module is designed to deliver better
performance/power at higher RPM's and is commonly
found in cars with a Manual Transmission.

2. E3EF-12A297-A2A
This TFI Module is designed to deliver better
performance/Torque at Lower RPM's and is commonly
found in cars with an Automatic Transmission.
So basically you can use a different TFI to tailor your car
for your performance preferences.
The Webmaster, of the GT350 department of the Corral, is using a TFI
meant for more torque (auto trans) on his 5 speed turbo, he
now has a broader power band as the Turbo cars were mainly
a higher RPM power maker.
